#2023 was a proper travel year again, finally! I finished most of the Middle East, spent about half a year in Africa, where I visited my uncle, had a European summer with Zoe, traveled in the US with my dad, where we visited family as well, and now I’m overwintering in the Canaries.
I went to 31 countries* on 4 continents (17 new), which leaves me with 106/193 UN (55%), 127/330 TCC, 267/1500 MTP & 259/1301 NM.
I flew 48150 miles in 141h on 55 flights, did 5 road trips, 3 motorbike trips, 1 long distance bicycle ride, 10 long(-ish) distance (mini-) bus rides and 7 long distance private transports, 7 ferries, 5 trains and 1 … Yellow Submarine๐ซง Maybe next year I should ride a horse or skate somewhere to mix up my modes of transport ๐ค
I jumped out of planes 31 times in 4 countries (120 total), scuba dived a whole bunch in 3 more and at the very end, started paragliding again even if I only spent ~20min under canopy๐ช Now we’re finishing off 2023 by the beach in Gran Canaria๐ฎ๐จ ๐ฅณ
I can’t imagine leading a more exciting life and I’m grateful for the amazing opportunities this year, being able to (re-)connect with family and friends and meeting so many amazing new people โค๏ธ Next year is certainly gonna be a little different and I’m really excited for the 2024 adventures with @zoeclares (and Ziggy ๐ถ), some of which are already booked ๐ #statistics #yearinreview #dec2023
